February 25, 2015, Wednesday
Fellowship. I felt something different
when I sang “love so amazing, love so amazing” (part of Jesus Messiah). I can’t explain but my body was electrified. I sang the chorus over and over again, “Jesus Messiah name above all names, Blessed
Redeemer Emmanuel, the rescue for sinners, the ransom from Heaven, Jesus
Messiah, Lord of all”. I can’t help
myself. I can’t contain it. Eventhough I’m not singing with my lips, my
mind and heart does.
In verse 1, it says that: “He become sin who knew no sin that we might
become His righteousness, He humble Himself and carry our cross, love so
amazing, love so amazing.” I was so “kilig”
everytime I uttered “love so amazing”.
Wow! This song was my theme song
for the entire week.
When I watched the Unforgettable
Love series for about four days, I fell in love with the character of President
Li and Wu Tong. It caught my attention
to watch the series because the values they shared were very seldom
nowadays. Who could think for a woman
like Wu Tong can speak only good words for those people who hurt her? I mean, she was mentally and emotionally
abused and yet she did not take it as bad as it were but as a challenge for her
to be a good person. She tried to be a
peacemaker even to the point that she has to deny herself and took the risk
just to save life. How great is her love
to her family.
I really admire President Li as
well. His character is really good. He needs to be strong in order to live, to be
the greatest and to be honored by his father yet he has that emptiness in his
life. When he met Wu Tong and his son,
his life became meaningful and colorful.
There is joy that changed his heart and his life. He took the risk in saving his wife. He did not choose between family and love but
he choose to isolate himself and to remain silent. He was able to endure the very worst thing
that happened in his life. What also caught
my attention most was the importance of marriage, of family and the good
relationship with each other. They’ve to
protect the relationship despite of circumstances. Opportunities began to open when they let go
of the past, of bitterness and unforgiveness.
Things were restored to them and their family become stronger and happy
when they started building up their relationship.
Maybe you will ask, what is the significant
of the song Jesus Messiah to Unforgettable Love? Well, after watching the series, I asked God if
I can still find a man like President Li.
I know that I should not dwell in fantasy but the question was raised
out of longing and curiosity. I’m not
young anymore and if ever I will enter into a relationship, I want it to last
forever. He gave no answer. I was really inspired of the character and
inside me, hoping to meet one like him.
I encountered battle of the mind
between the series and the song Jesus Messiah.
It seems like my mind was kind of machine weighting the most valued
piece and the song Jesus Messiah won. That
song being sang by my mind, by my lips and my heart caused me to fall asleep. The following day, I asked God the same
question, being persistent to get an answer but still, no reply.
I was so inspired in going to
Ladies Prayer Breakfast. Kind of excited
and smiling while waiting for God’s answer.
“No, not yet, not until you are
satisfied with me - alone.” These were the very words I heard in my heart
while I was in the presence of God during our Ladies Prayer Breakfast on
February 28, 2015. I laughed inside
because I know, it was the answer of what my heart is asking and the same words
I read in God’s plan for your mate. Kind
of amazing because He enumerated to me the importance of the message of the
song Jesus Messiah. He also showed me
the comparison of what I’ve seen in the series and what the Lord Jesus Christ
has done. Although there were similarities one way or
another, it cannot be compared to what God has done and how much He loved
mankind. I laughed inside because I did
not expect God will answer me that way. It
was kind of amazing. I can’t contain the
joy because I was really surprise. After
I heard it, I said, “Yes Lord, not yet, not until I am satisfied with You
alone.”
