Youth Camp In Ten Years

I wasn't able to sleep last Tuesday, June 9 (as usual) as I was pondering the visions and dreams I heard from the youth who attended the youth camp in Antique on April 13 - 17, 2015. They said that the present youth camp was the most anointed youth camp. I tried to figure out the significance and I found out that about 10 years ago May 17 - 20, 2005 to be exact, we have our 3rd Diocesan Youth Camp with the theme: "The Church: The Center of our Life II" and this year marked the 8th Diocesan Youth Camp with the theme: "Youth, You've Got a Purpose".

If you could notice, 10 years and again, what is the significance of number 10? As I searched for biblical meaning, number 10 is also viewed as a complete and perfect number, as is 3, 7 and 12. It is made up of 4, the number of the physical creation, and 6, the number of man. As such, it signifies testimony, law, responsibility and the completeness of order. Now I understand why it is called the "most anointed youth camp". As you could notice also the number of the 3rd and 8th Diocesan Youth Camp, it is really perfect.

In 2005, after the breakthrough that took place during concert, Bp. Dick told Fr. Noy and other youth coordinators had a meeting that the hosting of the youth camp will be rotated among the churches in Visayas. That was the first time it was opened for Cebu and Antique. A week after the camp in 2005, women were sent for a mission in Cebu (worship team). In 2013, when the camp was held in Cebu, that was the time that prayer ministry was introduced among the youth. In 2015, men were sent for a mission in Antique (worship team). Ten years had passed and I witnessed the tremendous change among them, they can now see visions and dream dreams. For about 10 years from now, what will the youth become? That's for us to find out so let us surround them with prayer.

Last month, some of the members of the core group of prayer ministry conducted series of teaching every Youth Fellowship about prayer equipping the young people to be steadfast in their prayer life.  Not only that, our young ones for about 3 to 9 years old were taught separately and according to their level how to pray and they were all in fire in prayer.

It's good to see them grow in the grace and wisdom of God.  What a great joy for me to see them grow spiritually because God granted the desire of my heart.

To God be the glory!
